North Harrison STEM Challenge Winners

On Wednesday, North Harrison had its first-ever STEM challenge. Students have spent countless hours before, during, and after school working on building their projects. Kindergarten and 1st grade students built Jet Balloon Cars; 2nd graders built Electric Racers; 3rd and 4th graders built Monster Trucks; 5th and 6th graders constructed Forklifts; 7th and 8th graders built Rube Goldberg machines; and the 9th graders competed in Vex Robotics. The first place team out of each class will move on to the Williford STEM Event at South Harrison on April 8.
Students who will move on are:
Kindergarteners: Draylee Davis, Brandon Polley, and Kade Smith.
First Grade: Amelia Long and Jhet Rinehart.
Second Grade: Keaton Hill and Eli Jacobs.
Third Grade: Meric Hansel and Emerson Utley.
Fourth Grade: Case Morgan and Joe Simpson.
Fifth Grade: Lani Briggs and Alanna Milligan.

8th Grade: Karsyn Ury, Hailey Claycomb, and Michael Mecca.
9th Grade: Noah Breshears, Tyson Gibson, Kendall Kimbrough, Jayliegh Robins, Cole Kampman, and Curtis Guy.
Preschoolers participated in the challenge as well. They designed plans to create ramps; the winning team was the one whose ball rolled the furthest away. The winning team was Gage, Tymber, and Emma.
