Unidentified Dead Woman Believed to Be From Midwest

24 years ago, a farmer near Thomasboro (IL) spraying some weeds on his farm found a human bone and clothing, which led to the discovery of a dead body. Authorities have been unable to identify her ever since.

She was killed by either blunt force trauma or multiple gunshots. They are not sure if she died in the field or was put there after her violent death.

Recent developments in forensic science have allowed authorities to come up with a list of possible locations where she was born – northern Arkansas, Huntsville (AL), Springfield (MO), and Topeka (KS). Authorities do not believe she had been living in Illinois for the previous five years before her death in 1995.

She is believed to be white, primarily European or possibly Hispanic, between 18 or 29 years old, and between 5’1” and 5’9”. This means she would have been born between 1966 and 1977.

If you knew this person or have any possible information that would be helpful in this case, contact the Champaign County (IL) Coroner’s Office 24 hours a day at (217) 384-3888.
