Two Injured in Wreck West of Hopkins

Two people were injured in a wreck west of Hopkins Friday afternoon. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 2002 Sterling driven by Scott Lininger (49) of Burlington Junction was eastbound on Route JJ five miles west of Hopkins and traveled off the south side of the roadway at around 2:30 pm. The vehicle overcorrected, returned to the roadway, and overturned. Lininger received minor injuries and was taken to Clarinda Regional Medical Center. A passenger, Delbert Lininger (77) of Skidmore, received moderate injuries and was taken to Mosaic in Maryville. Neither was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
