Courthouse News for October 10th

On October 1st, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Mary Walsh (43) of Independence in Harrison County alleging Careless & Imprudent Driving, No Insurance, Driving While Revoked (3rd or subsequent) (Felony), and Failure to Display Valid Plates. She was subsequently charged by Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer for Receiving Stolen Property (Felony) and Driving While Revoked (Felony).

On October 1st, Worth County Prosecutor Brett Hurst filed charges against Kenny Farmer (48) of Grant City alleging No Insurance and No Valid Driver’s License (2nd Offense).

On October 1st, Worth County Prosecutor Brett Hurst filed charges against Michael Johns (41) of Creston alleging Forgery (Felony) and Stealing.

On October 1st, Worth County Prosecutor Brett Hurst filed charges against Melissa Clark (42) of Creston alleging Forgery (Felony) and Stealing.

On October 1st, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Dustin Hanig (40) of Skidmore alleging DWI, Careless & Imprudent Driving Involving an Accident, and No Valid License.

On October 2nd, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Rebeka Bowen (19) of Excelsior Springs alleging No Insurance.

On October 2nd, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Dylan Profit (26) of Maryville alleging No Insurance.

On October 3rd, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Michael Johnson (22) of Maryville alleging two counts DWI, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Careless & Imprudent Driving Involving an Accident.

On October 3rd, Gentry County Prosecutor David B. Parman filed charges against Christopher Ledford (28) of Stanberry alleging Statutory Rape, two counts Statutory Sodomy, and one count Sexual Abuse, all felonies. He is being held on $300,000 bond.

On October 3rd, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Shamus O’Brien (41) of Guilford in Nodaway County for DWI and Failure to Maintain Right Half of Roadway, Causing a Crash.

On October 3rd, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Shermane Henderson (44) of Kansas City in Harrison County alleging Failure to Appear in Franklin County on a misdemeanor traffic charge.

On the morning of Wednesday, October 03, 2018, Deputies of the Nodaway County Sheriff’s Office and Officers from the Maryville Police executed a Search Warrant for illegal drugs in an apartment located in the 600 block of East 7th Street in Maryville. The search warrant was the conclusion of numerous covert drug buys from an individual that resides in the apartment. An adult female and an adult male were taken into custody at the scene. During the search, law enforcement officers recovered approximately 7 grams of methamphetamine and syringes. The Nodaway County Prosecuting Attorney has charged 35 year old Amanda Sue Wynn with three counts of delivery of a controlled substance and 36 year old Justin Aley with possession of a controlled substance. This illegal drug investigation was multi-jurisdictional with assistance from the Maryville Police and the Buchanan County Drug Strike Force.

On October 3rd, Worth County Prosecutor Brett Hurst filed charges against Denise Heaivilin (19) of Maryville alleging 2nd Degree Burglary (Felony).

On October 3rd, Worth County Prosecutor Brett Hurst filed charges against Sheila Canon (50) of Maryville alleging 2nd Degree Burglary (Felony).

On October 3rd, Worth County Prosecutor Brett Hurst filed charges against Danielle Manguson (21) of Maryville alleging 2nd Degree Burglary (Felony).

On October 3rd, Worth County Prosecutor Brett Hurst filed charges against Ethan Karr (20) of Maryville alleging 2nd Degree Burglary (Felony).

On October 3rd, Worth County Prosecutor Brett Hurst filed charges against Dillon Hastings (21) of Sheridan alleging 2nd Degree Burglary (Felony).

On October 3rd, Worth County Prosecutor Brett Hurst filed charges against Johnathon Brodrick (32) of St. Joseph alleging 2nd Degree Burglary (Felony).

On October 3rd, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Cheyenne Haidsiak (20) of Maryville alleging two counts Stealing (Felony).

On October 4th, Special Prosecutor Barbara Klima filed charges in Nodaway County against Richard Smith (46) of Miller (SD) alleging over 12 months Non-Support (Felony)

Brad Larson, 31, of Bedford was arrested on October 4, 2018 in the 1300 block of State Highway 2 by the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department. He was arrested on a warrant for 1st degree burglary and is being held at the Taylor County Jail on no bond until an appearance before the magistrate. Additional charges are pending.

On October 5th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Roger Kennedy (32) of St. Joseph in Nodaway County on charges of Speeding, No Insurance, and Driving While Suspended.

On October 5th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Delisa Graham (48) of Chicago in Harrison County on charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On October 5th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Leopoldo Oseguera (32) of Bethany alleging Unlawful Use of a Weapon by Exhibiting (Felony).

On October 5th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Robert James Reed (44) of Davis City (IA) alleging Violation of a Protection Order.

On October 5th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Josh Standerford (27) of Bedford alleging DWI, Possession of Marijuana, and Failure to Drive on Right Half of Roadway, Resulting in an Accident.

On October 5th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Albert Ferguson (33) of Maryville alleging Stealing.

On October 6th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Patricia Stark (58) of Princeton in Harrison County on a Platte County Warrant for Failure to Appear (Speeding) and Driving While Suspended.

On October 6th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Dustin Miller (38) of St. Joseph in Nodaway County alleging a Buchanan County Probation Violation (Felony) and a St. Joseph Police Department warrant for Failure to Appear.

Joshua Jones, 27, of Creston, was taken into custody on October 6th, 2018 by the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department. He was arrested on a warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and is being held at the Taylor County Jail on $10,000 cash or surety bond.

On October 6th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Chandler Marriott (19) of Maryville alleging two counts Domestic Assault (both Felonies) and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Felony).

On October 7th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Kodee Purdy (17) of Maryville alleging Possession of a Controlled Substance (Felony).

Michael Hartley, 30, of Lenox, was arrested on October 7, 2018 in the 300 block of West Ohio Street by the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department. He was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault (2nd or subsequent offense) and is being held at the Taylor County Jail on no bond until an appearance before the magistrate. Additional charges are pending.

On October 7th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Stephanie Wieden (34) of Lawrence (KS) alleging DWI (Prior), Careless & Imprudent Driving Resulting in an Accident, and No Valid License.

The Taylor County Sheriff's Office is asking for help in locating a missing Lenox man. 64 year old Gregory Crittenden was last seen in Lenox around 9 am on October 8. He drives a black Ford Explorer with Iowa license plate GHP864. If you have any information on Crittenden's location please contact the Taylor County Law Enforcement Center at 712-523-2153.

On October 9th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Angela Orozco (39) of Rock Port alleging Stealing, Possession of Marijuana (prior), and Delivery of Drug Paraphernalia.

Charges listed are mere allegations. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
