Meggan Brown Pledges to Upgrade Recorder’s Office

GOP challenger Meggan Brown is seeking the Recorder of Deeds position currently held by incumbent Democrat Barb Foland. She is married to David Brown; they have two sons, Seth and Drevin.

Brown has worked the past 12 years for five different prosecutors – Brett Hurst, Janet Larison, John Young, David Baird, and Tina Dieter. Before that, she worked six years for Jerry Drake, where she worked with deeds, easements, and other real estate work. Before that, she worked at Casey’s and the Gee Cee Cap Company. She said that she will bring secretarial and computer skills to the position.

The Browns have volunteered for the Little League. For five  years, they worked for the ‘Lil Tigers, where Meggan was the secretary and David was one of the coaches. They take their sons to goat shows in the area. They are also members of the Grant City Golf Course and the Allendale Baptist Church.

Meggan’s hobbies and interests include raising goats, playing golf, reading, and growing flowers. If elected, she said she would use her experience to help bring the office technology up to date and make the Recorder’s office more accessible to the community.
