Stanberry slowed Worth County down as well as anyone this year on the ground, holding them to 207 yards and a 5.75 average. However, Worth County got some critical completions through the air and set a season high passing mark with 144 passing yards as Stanberry sold out to stop the run. “They were as fast and physical as we’ve seen all year,” said Coach Chris Healy after the game.
Tevin Cameron had 25 carries for 171 yards, well below his average; however, he scored five touchdowns and one extra point. Isaac Alarcon had 4 carries for 41 yards, while Ryan McClellan had 11 carries for 36 yards and an extra point run.
Ryan McClellan was 6 for 7 through the air for 144 yards and one touchdown and two extra points. Tevin Cameron was 0 for 2. Caleb Parman caught 3 passes for 53 yards and an extra point, Isaac Alarcon had 2 catches for 58 yards and a touchdown, and Bryant McCord had 1 catch for 33 yards and an extra point. Worth County ran 44 plays for 351 yards.
Ryan McClellan led the team defensively with 14 tackles. Tevin Cameron had 13, Devan Jackson 12, Mason Hawk 11, Drake Kinsella had 10, Isaac Alarcon had 9, Bryant McCord and Caleb Parman had 4, and Jaxon Anderson and Wayde Parman had 1. Tevin Cameron and Drake Kinsella had 1 sack each. Bryant McCord had an interception.
On the rushing leaderboard, Tevin Cameron is poised to take over and win the rushing title. He now has 126 carries for 1647 yards and 39 touchdowns, only 31 yards behind Trey Schieber (1678) and tied with Zach Pearon of Norborne/Hardin-Central (1647). Cole Durbin is at 1533 yards and Braden George is at 1476. Everyone on the leaderboard except for Jacob Moen (King City, 1334) has finished their season.
