Paige West Excels for NEN at Junior High Early Bird

Northeast Nodaway’s girls secured 28 team points at the Junior High Early Bird, led by Paige West. The boys secured six points.

Anne Schieber was fifth in the 800 with a time of 2:53.35.

Paige West won the 100 Hurdles with a time of 18.90. That was .88 of a second ahead of Jill Hardy (Worth County). West got her other points in the Long Jump, where she was second to Malia Collins (Platte Valley) with a jump of 13’6½”.

Northeast’s girls also got some points in the throwing events. Blair Stoll was fourth in the Shot Put with a throw of 29’3”. She was also fourth in the Discus with a throw of 69’4”.

On the boys side, Chase Atkins picked up a pair of medals in the throwing events. He was fifth in the Shot Put with a throw of 30’3”. He was also fourth in the Discus with a throw of 93’1”.
