Two Injured, One Lifeflighted in Car/Motorcycle Wreck Near Bedford
Two people were injured and one was lifeflighted in a car/motorcycle wreck near Bedford Sunday at around 1:20 in the afternoon. The Iowa State Highway Patrol reports that two Harley Davidson Motorcycles driven by Michael Priest (44) of Shenandoah and Tammy Willett (36) of Afton (IA) were westbound on Highway 2 when a 2010 Buick Lucerne driven by James Meek Sr. (90) of Blockton pulled from a stop sign at Quail Avenue, causing the two Harleys to collide with the side of the Lucerne. Willett was injured and lifeflighted to Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. Priest was injured and transported by ambulance to Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr.
