Elva Loretta Daniels, 99, died Friday, February 8, 2013 at Orilla's Way in Grant City. She was born August 26, 1913 to Theo "Frost" and Ralph Hass. She was a faithful member of the Allendale Baptist Church.
She married Welcome Hope Daniels on April 7, 1935. They lived all their life in the Allendale community. To this union, two daughters were born, Loretta Rinehart of Grant City and Barbara (Michael) O'Riley of Kansas City.
Elva had six grandchildren, Beth Davis, Debora Rinehart, Patricia Mitchell, Sue Findley, Bradley Hill, and Kim Robertson; four step-grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, six step-great grandchildren, two great-great granddaughters, and two step great-great grandchildren. Other survivors include sister LaVerne Spainhower of Kansas City, sister-in-law Elaine Hass of Kearney, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Clifford and Carl, sister LaVonne, son-in-law Thomas Rinehart, and great-grandson Brandon Rinehart.
Elva was a hard worker all her life. She loved gardening, flowers, sewing, quilting, and helping Mary Kay at the quilt shop. She loved baking, especially her famous cinnamon rolls, and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday February 10, 2013 at the Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Home in Grant City with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment is in the Kirk Cemetery, Allendale, MO.
