Kenzi Doll 1997-2025

     Kenzi Devin Doll, age 27, was sent to her eternal home on January 31, 2025. She was born on October 6, 1997, at Research, a daughter of Joshua Doll (Tonya Doll) and Michelle Maxey (Justin Maxey).

     Kenzi was a shining light in the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey was overflowing with love, compassion, and an unparalleled devotion to her children. Kenzi sought out to live every day to the fullest, often going on trips, camping, and spending time with family and friends. 

     Graduated from South Harrison in 2016, Kenzi went on to gain her CMT and CNA license. 

She was baptized at a United Methodist Church.

Also a member of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls (Junior Eastern Stars). 

     She was preceded in death by her husband, Remmington Alexander Jeffries, married June 8th 2020.             

     Kenzi is survived by her four children, Hadleigh Paige Jeffries, Alexander Cabe Jeffries, Brentley James Doll, and Ryan Lane Graves; grandparents, Deborah and Mark Wickam, Patricia and Robert Hamilton, John Doll, Michael Fox; parents, Michelle and Justin Maxey, Joshua and Tonya Doll; siblings, Kiley Brown (Justin Brown), Mason Doll (Renee Moore), Taneya Doll, Joscellyan Doll, Tekaiya Doll; uncles, Jacob Doll, Pat Fox (Ashleigh), Nathan Fox (Breanna), Cody Myers, Nick Hamilton, Todd Stegner; aunts, Alexandria Myers, Samantha Stegner, Sarah Angle; nephew, Jimmy Lowe and niece, Marley Brown. 

     Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 7 at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial will follow in Kidwell Cemetery, Martinsville, MO. Jensen Davis’ Triple Lifts Shamrocks Past Mustangs for Third Place

Jensen Davis’ triple lifted North Harrison past North Nodaway Saturday 33-31 for the boys third place trophy at Gilman City. The Shamrocks had won handily over the Mustangs for the first game of the year, but North Nodaway had made a lot of strides since that first game.

The loss for the Mustangs was tough to swallow. All year, coach Cody Jenkins had been preaching defense to his squad, and they had the Shamrocks right where they wanted them. The Shamrocks are an up-tempo team and try to create a lot of transition looks and wide-open three-pointers while the Mustangs look to try to shut people down defensively and keep the score down. The Shamrocks, except for the second quarter, were not getting any of their usual transition looks and they were ice cold from long distance. But when the game was on the line in the fourth quarter, a costly foul swung the game in the Shamrocks’ favor and they were able to come back and get the win.

The first quarter couldn’t have been scripted any better for the Mustangs, who, despite two quick fouls on Mason Casner, had the kind of low-scoring defensive battle they wanted. Wyatt Maize was the only Shamrock who scored, while Owen Martin’s steal and drive and an inside shot from Jordan DeLeon were the only Mustang tallies. The game was tied 4-4 at the end of one.

Owen Martin hit a 3-pointer for the Mustangs to put them up 9-7 at the 4:24 mark, but then North Harrison started aggressively crashing the boards and turning the game in their favor. Wyatt Maize knotted the game at 9 after Owan Roberson got an offensive glass, Jensen Davie hit a 3-pointer, Wyatt Maize got loose in transition, and Andrew Craig got a putback to put them up 17-9 before Owan Martin’s reverse layup cut the Mustang deficit to 17-11 at the half.

But Owan Roberson picked up his third foul early in the third quarter and the Mustangs were able to feed Jordan DeLeon at will, starting with a pair of free throws. Mason Casner, who sat much of the first half with foul trouble, came back to hit a 3-pointer. Wyatt Maize got a putback, but Jordan DeLeon scored from inside to cut it to 19-18. Evan Schreiber hit a free throw, but Blaine Clements shot the Mustangs into the lead at 21-20 with 5:20 left.

North Harrison went to a man to man and took their press off, but despite foul trouble, North Nodaway kept up the momentum, feeding DeLeon at will with six points coming from him in the last 3:57 of the third quarter. They were playing with the kind of defensive intensity Jenkins wanted, holding the high-scoring Shamrocks scoreless for the last 5:40 as they grew their lead to 26-20.

DeLeon got a putback with 7:22 to make it 28-20, but then a costly foul sent him to the bench with four fouls and the Shamrocks had new life. Andrew Craig hit a free throw. Gage Fortner, who had missed a ton of 3-point tries, finally got one down and Andrew Craig hit a free throw to make it 28-25.

Mason Casner tried to go to the rim, but Jensen Davis stuffed him and a tieup went back to North Harrison. Owan Roberson drew the Shamrocks closer with a free throw with 3:34 left to make it 28-26.

The foul situation threatened to get even worse for the Mustangs as Owen Martin picked up his fourth foul fighting for position with Evan Schreiber, but Kaeden Nave stopped the bleeding with two free throws to make it 30-26 with 2:10 left.

Gage Fortner missed a 3-pointer that would have drawn the Shamrocks to within one, and Mason Casner got the defensive board. Evan Schreiber got a tip and Wyatt Maize a steal, and fed it to Ryker Fortner for a fast break attempt, but he traveled with it with 1:08 left. Mason Casner missed two free throws with 1:03 left, and another costly foul happened for the Mustangs as Ridge Clements fouled Evan Schreiber fighting for the offensive rebound and Schreiber hit both free throws with 1:02 left to cut the Shamrock deficit to 30-28.

The Shamrocks fouled Owen Martin, and he made one of two with 59 seconds left to make it 31-28. But North Harrison had good ball movement on its next possession and swung it to Jensen Davis in the left corner, where he tied the game with a 3-pointer with 45 seconds left after a pass from Gage Fortner.

North Nodaway threw it away with 43 seconds and North Harrison held the ball for the last shot. With 18 seconds left, Kaeden Nave gambled for a steal, but fouled Jensen Davis, who made one of two to put the Shamrocks up 32-31 with 18 seconds left. Blaine Clements got the defensive board and North Nodaway had a chance.

North Nodaway advanced the ball into the frontcourt, where they called timeout with 13 seconds. On the ensuing possession, Owen Martin lost the ball in the backcourt, but recovered and pushed ahead to Mason Casner. He threw up a runner, but it was high off the glass and no good and Owan Roberson grabbed the defensive board. He made one of two for the Shamrocks with 2 seconds left, and the Mustangs had only a full court heave in response.

Jordan DeLeon had 12 points. Owen Martin had 8, Blaine Clements 6, Mason Casner 3, and Kaeden Nave 2.

Baylie Busby Gets Double-Double, but Foul Trouble Costs Bluejays

A shorthanded Northeast Nodaway girls team made another run into the King City Tournament finals for a rematch with Albany. Baylie Busby had a double-double with 12 points and 10 boards and nearly got a triple-double with 7 steals, but foul trouble hurt the Bluejays in their rematch with Albany, and they fell to the Warriors 52-47 in the rubber game of their matchup.

The Bluejays were without Sasha Deardorff (flu), one of their scrappiest players. Sadie Hall moved, dropping their roster down to nine players, making it harder for them to scrimmage with a full set of players in practices. And Albany shot the ball much better against Northeast’s zone and worked the ball much better into the post than they did their first meeting; after battling illness the week before, the Warriors got most of their players back for Friday. After a bad second quarter, the Bluejays made several charges against the Warriors and even got the lead, only to falter in the end.

Northeast started off with a good first quarter as Hayley Yost and Skyler Florea scored from inside to start them off. Emme Hogue got Albany on the board, but Yost got a putback. Hayleigh Wink hit a 3-pointer, but Yost struck from the post again and Busby scored three straight to make it 11-5.

But then a costly defensive lapse, where the Bluejays let the ball enter the post and out to the wing where Kennedi Epperly hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer, swung the momentum in Albany’s favor. Northeast started hacking and fouling in the second quarter and the momentum swung in Albany’s favor. Their top three players, Busby, Yost, and Florea, all picked up three fouls and all hell broke loose as Albany went from down three to up 20-15 with a minute left. But with their top three players in foul trouble, Northeast somehow got a push as Blair Nelson hit from the left wing and Kynder Florea drove out of a trap down the left baseline and scored to cut the Bluejay deficit to 20-19.

Albany twice raised the lead to three to start the third quarter, but Busby scored from the baseline and Kynder Florea shot the Bluejays into a 26-24 lead. Hayley Yost picked up her fourth foul and Albany took advantage of her absence to regain the lead and pushed their lead up to 33-28 behind Maddix Epperly’s 3-pointer. But for the second time in a row, Northeast got a late push as Baylie Busby found Skyler Florea inside and then Skyler hit a 3-pointer to tie it up again with six seconds left.

Northeast nearly had a miracle finish to end the period as Busby stole an errant pass at half court, but her heave at the buzzer that would have changed the momentum went in and out and the game remained tied at 33.

Hadley DeFreece shot the Bluejays into the lead again at 37-35 with 5:55 left, but then the lack of depth started taking its toll and the Warriors started feeding Jayden Hillyard at will in the post. Maddix Epperly hit a 3-pointer and Emme Hogue hit a free throw to put the Warriors up 45-37 with 2:52 left. Kennedi Epperly’s steal led to two free throws with 1:41 left that made it 48-39.

The Bluejays made a late push after Baylie Busby drew Hillyard’s fifth foul with 1:10 left and made both free throws. Northeast had to start fouling and Hayleigh Wink made one of two with 1:04 left to make it 49-41. Skyler Florea rebounded the second miss and went coast to coast to make it 49-43. Kaitlyn Bunker missed a shot and Busby went coast to coast with 25 seconds left to make it 49-45.

But then Hayleigh Wink hit both free throws with 16 seconds left to make it 51-45. Skyler Florea hit a third chance putback, but Albany was able to inbound it to Wink, who made one of two at the end to make it 52-47.

Hawk Rally Falls Short in Title Game

Gilman City’s boys met their match Saturday in the Gilman City Tournament title game against Princeton, but they rallied and cut their deficit to five before finally falling 56-44. They got positive comments about their play about their effort and sportsmanship following the game. Clay Evans hung 29 points on the Hawks, and that proved to be too much for them.

The Hawks dug themselves into a hole to start the game as Evans scored off a drive and Hunter Lowery scored from inside. They countered with a cut inside from Bo Eads after Landon Preston drove down the left baseline and then Preston added a 3-pointer to make it 5-4.

But the rest of the quarter belonged to Princeton as Gilman City had no tips and no steals until late in the period as Evans went off. He scored eight points, including two 3-pointers, to put the Blue Tigers up 15-5 before Parker Virtue got on the board for the Hawks to cut it to 15-7.

Landon Preston scored four straight to start the second quarter to cut the Hawk deficit to 15-11 and Camden Griffith kept it close for a while. The Hawk deficit was 19-15 at the 4:25 left, but then Princeton’s size took over for the rest of the half, dominating the boards as they took a 31-17 lead.

It looked like Princeton would walk away with the title easily, as they were getting all the calls and their size in Kash Holt and Hunter Lowery meant that Gilman City had to leave Evans open. They enjoyed a 24-12 rebounding advantage at the half. But the Hawks came out in a press to start the second half, and they were swarming, pressing, and trapping, and they rebounded much better in the second half, getting their rebounding deficit down to –5 by the end of the game.

Kenyon Puls got on the board, then Landon Preston hit a 3-pointer, Camden Griffith hit a free throw, and Landon Preston hit a baseline shot to cut the Hawk deficit to 36-25. Lowery and Evans both hit down the third quarter stretch for Princeton, but Parker Virtue got a shot down over the much taller Holt, and the Hawks had their deficit down to 40-30 by the end of the third.

Dakota Meringa scored from inside to start the fourth quarter and Kenyon Puls hit a 3-pointer from the left wing to cut it to 42-35. Dakota Meringa, who had been a spark off the bench for the Hawks in the half, picked up his fourth foul and a basket from Holt and a free throw from Evans built the Princeton lead back up to 45-35 at the 3:37 mark.

But then Noel Schreffler, Princeton’s best ball handler, picked up his fourth foul and Gilman City started coming back again. Camden Griffith hit a free throw and then stole the ensuing inbounds pass to make it 45-38 with 3:06 left. Schreffler came back and hit two free throws to make it 47-38, but Parker Virtue grabbed an offensive board and hit a free throw and then Camden Griffith got a steal after Dakota Meringa got a tip and fed Landon Preston for three to make it 47-42.

Evans countered with a free throw with 1:46 left. Jace Estrada hit a free throw with 1:19 left to make it 48-43, but then Gilman City overextended itself trying to get the ball back and Evans got loose on the other end to make it 50-43. Princeton got a stop and Gilman City had to start fouling, and the Blue Tigers were 6 for 6 from the line in the last 57 seconds.

Landon Preston had 15 points. Camden Griffith had 13, Kenyon Puls 6, Parker Virtue 5, Bo Eads and Dakota Meringa 2 each, and Jace Estrade 1.

Kelsey Sperry Boards 18; Lady Hawk Winning Streak Reaches 11; Kinsley Johnson Scores 15 for Panthers

In a brutal battle between Gilman City’s girls and Pattonsburg, the Hawks prevailed in the rematch 40-24 Thursday to reach the finals of the Gilman City Tournament. Kelsey Sperry thrived in the chaos, grabbing 14 boards for the Hawks, who won their 12th straight game. Khloey Sperry and Shelby Gibson both had 12, and the Hawks got 50 boards as a team. Kinsley Johnson nearly got a triple double for Pattonsburg, getting 15 points, 9 boards, and 7 blocks. Jayden Goble did all she could for the Panthers on the boards, grabbing 14 to match a career high.

The Gilman City winning streak remained intact pending Tuesday night’s game as the championship game with Princeton was postponed to February 21st due to sickness by Princeton. The Blue Tigers beat Tri-County handily, but only had six players dressed out and one clearly under the weather.

The focus of both teams was to try to shut the other team’s two best players down and make someone else try to beat them. Pattonsburg had Kinsley Johnson patrolling the paint as usual, racking up seven blocks on Khloey Sperry and the rest of the Hawks. Cheyenne Miller faceguarded Avery Gregg. Gilman City had Avery Gregg faceguard Addie Iddings, and she shut her out for the game. Alli Burke took on the task of guarding Johnson anytime she got the ball out on the point, and then two or three Hawk defenders would swarm her anytime she tried to take the ball in the paint.

Pattonsburg had won five out of their last eight, and they picked up right where they left off after Kinsley Johnson slashed to the rim and Annabelle Gardner scored from inside to make it 4-0. But then Alli Burke countered from the left wing and Khloey Sperry hit a free throw. As Gardner, one of Pattonsburg’s best defenders, picked up her second foul, Gilman City started to take control as Avery Gregg hit a 3-pointer, Shelby Gibson got one over Johnson, and Sperry scored from inside as the Hawks led 10-4.

Kinsley Johnson did all she could to keep the Panthers in the game, scoring 9 out of her team’s first 12 points to stop the bleeding. Gilman City tried their full court man to man press, but Pattonsburg was airing it out and going deep and getting some good transition looks.

The Hawk lead stayed at 5 until Khloey Sperry picked up her third foul scrambling for a loose ball and two transition baskets from Cheyenne Miller and Kinsley Johnson brought the Panthers to within 17-16. But the Panthers could not take the lead and Colbi Webb came off the bench to score from inside and put the Hawks up 19-16 at the half.

Gilman City has been a strong second half team, wearing teams down with their rebounding; however, Pattonsburg initially hung with them. It was a game of attrition; both teams had a thin bench and the first team to get key players in foul trouble would be in trouble. When Annabelle Gardner picked up her fourth foul for Pattonsburg, the Hawks started pulling away. Avery Gregg got 4 steals in the third quarter; Alli Burke had 5 points in the quarter and four other Hawks got two. One play that was symbolic of the quarter was when Khloey Sperry fed Kelsey on a fourth chance possession late in the period. Alli Burke put the Hawks up 32-22 before Kinsley Johnson cut it to 32-24 at the end of three.

The Hawks pulled away as Avery Gregg got loose for there and Khloey Sperry pushed ahead to Kelsey to make it 37-24.

There was a scary moment for the Hawks when Khloey Sperry went crashing into the cement portion of the wall below the padding head first, but Addie Iddings and Cheyenne Miller fouled out for Pattonsburg and Avery Gregg went three for four from the line. Sperry was OK and would have played had the Princeton game been played Saturday.

For Pattonsburg, Kinsley Johnson had 15, Cheyenne Miller 4, Jayden Goble 3, and Annabelle Gardner 2.

Kevin Welch 1966-2025

Kevin John Welch, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, fiancé, and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 29th, 2025, just shy of his 59th birthday. Born on February 1st, 1966, in Maryville, MO, Kevin was a lifelong resident of Parnell, MO, where he built a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to his family and community.

Kevin was a graduate of Northeast Nodaway High School. He dedicated 25 years of his professional life as a prison guard with the State of Missouri Corrections in Maryville, MO. After retiring, he continued to work for Robbins Lightning and pursuing his passion for farming.

Kevin was a man of many interests. An Eagle Scout himself, he was actively involved in the Boy Scouts when his sons were young, guiding them through their own scouting journeys. He had a deep love for the outdoors, enjoying coon hunting, deer hunting, fishing, camping, and sheep farming. Above all, Kevin cherished any activity that involved his grandchildren, who were the light of his life.

Kevin is survived by his loving children: sons Tyler (Rachel) Welch of Maryville, MO, Brayden (Kayla) Welch of Conception Jct., MO, and Austin Welch of Parnell, MO; daughters Tiffany Welch of St. Joseph, MO, and Mallorie (Drew) Kunkel of Oregon, MO. He also leaves behind his brothers Thomas (Tammy) Welch, Mark (Carlene) Welch, and Greg (Lisa) Welch, all of Parnell, MO; sisters Marilyn Welch and Kathy O'Banion, both of St. Joseph, MO; and his cherished grandchildren Wayne Clabaugh III, Chase Clabaugh, Jaylyn Cary, Tennasen Welch, Briggs Welch, Pyper Kunkel, Garrett Kunkel, Tillie Kunkel, and one more on the way. Kevin's fiancé, Carolynn Wilson, of the home, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins will also miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Betty Welch, and his brother, Robert "Bob" Welch.

A Parish rosary will be held at 5:00 pm, followed by visitation until 7:00 pm, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Parnell, MO, on Monday, February 3rd, 2025. A Funeral Memorial Mass will take place at the same location on Tuesday, February 4th, 2025, at 10:00 am.

Kevin's legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by his family, friends, and community.

On January 21st, Jaquilla Scott (19) of Maryville failed to appear in Nodaway County Associate Circuit Court on a charge of Stealing. A warrant was issued and bond set at $451, cash only.

On January 21st, William Finn (44) of Maryville failed to appear in Nodaway County Associate Circuit Court on a charge of Violation of Protection Order. A warrant was issued and bond set at $500, cash only.

On January 21st, Chase Davidson (22) of Maryville pleaded guilty in Nodaway County Associate Circuit Court to a charge of DWI (Prior). He was sentenced to 10 days in jail by Judge Robert Rice with credit for time served.

On January 21st, Devin Karr (20) of Union Star pleaded guilty in Nodaway County Associate Circuit Court to a charge of DWI. He was placed on two years probation by Judge Robert Rice. Defendant must not possess or consume alcoholic beverages, enter any establishment whose primary purpose is the sale of alcoholic beverages, and successfully complete SATOP.

On January 21st, Michael Jacobs (33) of Maryville failed to appear in Nodaway County Associate Circuit Court on a charge of Domestic Assault (Felony). A warrant was issued and bond set at $500, cash only.

On January 22nd, the Bethany Republican-Clipper reported the arrest of a 16 year old boy on charges that he allegedly broke the driver’s side window of a 2012 Volkswagen and attempted to set it on fire.

On January 22nd, the Bethany Republican-Clipper reported that Etta-Jean Hunsicker (62) of Blythedale was killed in a house fire at her home.

On January 22nd, Christyan Gardner (24) of Guilford pleaded guilty in Gentry County Associate Circuit Court to charges of Failure to Register and Leaving the Scene. He was placed on two years probation and assessed $415.50 in fines and costs by Judge Rebecca McGinley.

On January 22nd, Daviess County Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson filed charges against Jared Holcomb (33) of Gallatin alleging Possession of Controlled Substance (Clonazepam, Felony). Bond was set at $10,000, cash only.

On January 22nd, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Molly Cartwright-Messick (43) of Maryville alleging Possession of Methamphetamine. Bond was set at $10,000 with the defendant released on her own recognizance. Defendant must submit to testing weekly.

On January 22nd, Austin Dankenbring (31) of Waverly (MO) pleaded guilty in Harrison County Associate Circuit Court to a charge of Stealing. He was placed on two years probation and sentenced to eight days in jail by Judge Jay Hemenway.

On January 22nd, Alan McConkey (38) of Albany appeared in Gentry County Associate Circuit Court on a probation violation hearing. Defendant had been convicted of Speeding (26+ mph over) and DWI. Judge Rebecca McGinley continued the defendant on probation with SCRAM alcohol monitoring ordered for 90 days.

On January 23rd, Caldwell County Associate Circuit Judge Jason Kanoy issued a warrant for Tyson Frame (23) of Hamilton following a bond violation report. Bond was denied. Frame has been charged with Harassment (Felony), Stealing, Domestic Assault, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. He had been free on bond.

On January 23rd, Harrison County Circuit Judge Matthew Krohn issued an arrest warrant for Heather Mitchell (41) of Independence after the defendant failed to appear for a probation violation hearing. Bond was set at $15,000. A violation report filed by the prosecutor alleged the defendant violated probation by testing positive for methamphetamine, cocaine, MDMA, and amphetamine. Defendant had been sentenced to three years in the Department of Corrections, but had been recalled after 120 days and placed on five years probation.

On January 23rd, Terry Parkhurst (65) of Albany failed to appear in Harrison County Circuit Court on charges of Harassment (Felony) and Sexual Misconduct. A warrant was issued and bond set at $15,000.

On January 23rd, Peggy Glenn (67) of Eagleville pleaded guilty in Harrison County Circuit Court to two counts of Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony). She was placed on five years probation by Judge Matthew Krohn.

On January 23rd, Jill Cameron (54) of Bethany pleaded guilty in Harrison County Circuit Court to charges of Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony) and No Seat Belt. She was placed on five years probation by Judge Matthew Krohn and fined $10. Defendant must enter and successfully complete the Third District Drug Treatment program.

On January 23rd, Jill Spatz (33) of Bethany pleaded guilty in Harrison County Circuit Court to a charge of Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony). She was placed on five years probation by Judge Matthew Krohn. Defendant must enroll in and successfully complete the Third Circuit Drug Treatment Program.

On January 23rd, Ruth Boe (54) of Coffey pleaded guilty in Harrison County Circuit Court to a charge of Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony) and No Seat Belt. She was fined $10 and placed on five years probation by Judge Matthew Krohn. Defendant must enroll in and successfully complete the Third Circuit Drug Treatment Program.

On January 23rd, the Missouri Attorney General’s Office announced the conviction of Loy Maxey, owner of Fresh Start Credit Services. The defendant allegedly promised people with low credit scores the opportunity to help them repair their credit scores in return for securing their assets. In fact, the defendant allegedly used the money for personal expenses. The defendant was placed on five years probation and must make $62,000 in restitution to victims.

On January 23rd, a judge handed down an 11 year sentence to Wesley Teague of DeKalb after the defendant pleaded guilty to DWI (Death of Another). On May 23rd, 2023, the defendant allegedly veered off a road in Platte County and struck a man who was trimming grass in a ditch, killing him. The defendant allegedly had a blood alcohol content of .128.

On January 25th, the Missouri Department of Transportation reported that a vehicle crash in St. Joseph caused the closure of the intersection of 169 (Belt Highway) and Karnes Road. The crash caused extensive damage to the traffic signal mast arm. Traffic on Karnes Road will not be able to access Belt Highway, and traffic on Belt Highway will not access Karnes Road until further notice.

On January 27th, Larry Miller (32) of Skidmore failed to appear in Nodaway County Circuit Court on charges of Burglary (Felony), Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony), Unlawful Use of Weapon (Felony), and Assault. A warrant was issued and bond was denied.

On January 27th, Judge Robert Rice issued a warrant in Nodaway County Associate Circuit Court for Molly Cartwright-Messick (43) of Maryville alleging failure to abide by bond conditions. Bond was denied. She is facing a charge of Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony).

On January 27th, Daviess County Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson filed charges against Kourtney Bird (29) of Gallatin alleging Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Felony) and Delivery of Marijuana (Child Under 17, Felony). Bond was set at $5,000, cash only. Defendant is to have no contact with victim or with any minor under 18.

On January 27th, Daviess County Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson filed charges against Jesse Gray (48) of Gallatin alleging Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Felony), Delivery of Marijuana (Child Under 17, Felony), and Witness Tampering (Felony). An affidavit from the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department alleges the charges arose after phone monitoring at the Daviess DeKalb Regional Jail while the defendant was being held on other charges.
