On July 8th, Sarah Spears (36) of Grant City pleaded guilty in Daviess County Circuit Court to charges of Assault, Peace Disturbance, and Trespassing. She was sentenced to 15 days in jail for the Assault charge, 60 days in jail for the Trespassing charge, and 60 days in jail for the Peace Disturbance charge by Judge Daren Adkins. Defendant was given credit for time served.
On July 14th, Steven Boedeker (43) of Ravenwood pleaded guilty in Nodaway County Associate Circuit Court to a charge of Intentionally Inhaling a Solvent. He was sentenced to five days in jail by Judge Robert Rice. The defendant also pleaded guilty to a charge of Property Damage. He was placed on two years probation by Judge Robert Rice.
On July 14th, Judge Robert Rice ordered the extradition of Justin Holloway (46) of Kansas City from Nodaway County to Jackson County (KS) to face charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Fleeing a Police Officer, Interference with Law Enforcement, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, No Registration, and No Valid License.
On July 14th, Larry Harbin (80) of Maryville pleaded guilty in Nodaway County Associate Circuit Court to a charge of Peace Disturbance. He was fined $400 plus costs by Judge Robert Rice.
On July 15th, Melissa Spease (35) of Bethany pleaded guilty in Harrison County Associate Circuit Court to charges of Careless & Imprudent Driving (Accident) and No Valid License. She was placed on two years probation by Judge Jay Hemenway. Defendant must make restitution of $5,142.98.
On July 15th, Daviess County Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson filed charges against Katherine Love (67) of Altamont alleging DWI (Felony, Serious Physical Injury) and Failure to Yield. Bond was set at $20,000 cash only, posted by the defendant.
On July 16th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 35 year old Maryville man was killed in Maryville when he was driving westbound on South Avenue, crossed the center line, went off the south side, overcorrected, went off the north side, and ran into a ditch, overturned, and struck a tree.
On July 16th, a Hopkins woman reported on Facebook that she had to slam on the brakes and pull over after an oncoming car passed someone on 148 at Route B. Her teenage son was a passenger in the car.
On July 17th, Daviess County Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson filed charges against Joshua Hogan (29) of Gallatin alleging Assault (Felony) and Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm. Bond was set at $50,000 cash only. No contact with the victim, no possession of firearms, house arrest.
On July 17th, Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Rickie Stanton (66) of Skidmore alleging Leaving the Scene (Felony) and Careless & Imprudent Driving (Accident).
On July 17th, Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Jean Dockery (75) of McFall alleging Assault.
On July 17th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Deiter filed charges against Vanessa Halterman (44) of Maryville alleging Stealing (Felony).
On July 17th, Daviess County Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson filed charges against Crystal Tanner (43) of Breckenridge alleging two counts Failure to Register as Sex Offender (Felony) and Animal Abandonment. Bond was denied.
On July 18th, the Creston Fire Department and WHO-13 reported that at around 3:13 pm in the 1800 block of Iris Avenue near Creston, a vehicle left the road, went through a fence, through a residential yard, back to the road, and then to the curve at Iris and 185th Street. The accident punctured the fuel tank, causing the vehicle to catch fire. A nearby resident helped get the driver out of the vehicle. The driver is believed to have a medical issue that contributed to the accident.
On July 19th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 22 year old Stanberry man was operating an ATV on Route F and Walker Road near Stanberry when he ran off the side of the roadway, hit a culvert, and overturned, resulting in an injury.
On July 19th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 41 year old Burlington Junction man was driving a pickup and towed unit from Route Z onto Highway 46 west of Burlington Junction. A 47 year old Maryville driver came over a hill, braked, and skidded, but struck the towed unit. The car caught fire following the accident, and the Maryville driver received injuries and was taken to Mosaic.
On July 20th, Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Damian Roush (23) of Worth alleging DWI (Drugs), No Valid License, and Unlawfully Operating UTV on Highway.
On July 20th, Daviess County Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson filed charges against Rodolfo Lopez (56) of Hampton (IA) alleging Delivery of Controlled Substance to Minor (Felony). Bond was denied.
On July 20th, Christopher Cash (42) of St. Joseph pleaded guilty in Nodaway County Circuit Court to a charge of Stealing (Felony). He was sentenced to four years in the Missouri Department of Corrections by Judge Corey Herron. Court retains jurisdiction for 120 days, and the DOC will make recommendations regarding incarceration or probation.
On July 20th, Karina Watson (64) of Oak Grove pleaded guilty in Nodaway County Circuit Court to a charge of Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony). She was placed on five years probation by Judge Corey Herron.

On July 21st, Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Nathan Cummings (22) of Independence and Alexis Ytell-Cummings (25) of King City alleging Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
On July 21st, following the end of the Kansas City portion of the World Cup, the FBI in Kansas City and other law enforcement agencies announced results of law enforcement sweeps to combat child exploitation and human trafficking during the games. They reported 19 arrests, nine missing children located, and nine individuals provided with victim services.
On July 21st, wind blew down a tree into 246 east of Hopkins and just east of Mercury Road. It blocked half the road.
On July 21st, a driver passed us going 100 mph on Route 148 north after passing a semi truck that was behind us. Shortly afterwards, another driver passed us after passing the semi at 80 mph before nearly colliding with an oncoming vehicle in a head-on collision.
Charges listed are merely allegations. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
