Two more data centers have expressed interested in locating in Nodaway County. On Wednesday, the Nodaway County Commission released the following statement Wednesday:
Nodaway County Economic Development notified the Commission today that two small-scale data center projects have shown interest in Nodaway County. When we receive more information, we will make it known to the public. In full transparency, no representatives from either project have contacted the Nodaway County Commission.
The Nodaway County Economic Developer's Office, in a news release Wednesday, also made the announcement. Executive Director Josh McKim said that the companies or their representatives contacted his office independently, and that Nodaway County Economic Development has held preliminary conversations with representatives of both projects. Both projects are in the preliminary evaluation stage, and available information is limited. If the project advances, Nodaway County Economic Development says it will work with company representatives, local officials, and other appropriate parties to provide timely and accurate updates.
