June Marie (Rose)
Thomas passed away March 24, 2014 at Nodaway Nursing Home in Maryville,
Missouri at the age of 83.She was born
August 17, 1930 in Davenport, Iowa to Hubert and Lula Mae Rose.
June graduated
from High School in 1948 in Glenwood,
Iowa. She married Bob Thomas of
Grant City, Missouri in March 1954 and she lived in Grant
City for over 50 years, where they
raised 3 boys, before moving to Maryville,
Missouri.
June was preceded
in death by her husband Bob; parents; and 2 sisters: Marge and Alvia.
Surviving are a 3rd
sister, Joan that still lives in the Davenport, Iowa area and June’s 3 boys,
Mike, Pat and Steve that all live in the Kansas City area, 6 grandkids and 3
great-grandkids.
Her body has been
cremated and a private graveside service will be held in Grant City
later this spring.
Arrangements are
under the direction of the Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Home in Grant City.
