Georgee Helen Kidney, beloved wife of Albert O. Kidney, mother of Leroy Kidney (Kay) and Jerry Kidney (Vicki) passed away on July 28, 2011. She was greatly loved by her grandchildren Kevin (Stephanie) and Eric Kidney, Keri Lynn Garduno (Joe), and Jennifer Kidney, Dave Gilliland (Kristi), and Julie (Tim) Calahan. Family was the most important thing in her life and she had a special relationship with her great-grandchildren Brandon and Lauren Kidney; Madison, Niko, and Alyssa Garduno; Audrey and Olivia Hornsby; and Nora and Wyatt Gilliland. She is also survived by one sister, Goldie Troutwine and numerous nieces and nephews.
Georgee was born in Parnell on October 7, 1923 to Luke and Melinda Steinman. She had 15 brothers and sisters. Albert Kidney was from Grant City and was a decorated veteran of World War II. They were married on October 27, 1941. They moved to Denver shortly after they were married. Georgee worked and retired from Samsonite Corporation. Albert worked and retired from Gates Rubber Company.
There is a tremendous sadness in the whole family and “Grandma” will be greatly missed as she was so adored and loved by all.
Services will be held Tuesday at 10 at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood, CO. Interment was at the Crown Hill Cemetery. Reception to follow at Jerry & Vicki Kidney’s house, 8145 West Stene Drive, Littleton, CO, 80128.
