Lager meets with NWMSU Students

Student government leaders from Northwest Missouri State University spent the afternoon in Jefferson City with State Senator Brad Lager this past Tuesday. The students discussed current issues in government and the complex workings of the legislative process. The Senator also gave them an in-depth lesson on the history of the capitol and the daily life of a legislator.

“As a Northwest Alumni, I always appreciate the opportunity to visit with students from the university,” said the Senator. “Visiting the Capitol and seeing government in action is a very important step in becoming educated about the role of government. I hope they continue being active in government and get further involved in the legislative process.”
