Gifting to North Star Gives 70% Tax Credit

As the end of 2026 approaches, individuals and companies who are looking to make year-end gifts should be aware of the state tax credits are available to help with their state tax burden. An opportunity for a local donation and tax credit can be made to the North Star Advocacy Center, 1220 East Second, Maryville, MO 64468. By making a minimum $100 donation, a 70 percent tax credit on Missouri income tax is available. The donation must be made by December 31, 2026 to be eligible for the 2026 tax year.

The 70 percent tax credit figures directly off your state tax liability. An example would be on a $100 donation, $70 will be deducted from the state tax bill.
