Sheridan Sprays Streets for Dust

The City of Sheridan sprayed the streets for dust this year. Mayor Leland Wake said that Sur-Gro helped with that job; Allan and Zach Allee ran the sprayer.

Snyder Engineering, which is working on the water overhaul grant for the city, is scaling back plans for the water main. There will be a 6" main running from the tower, but the other mains will be smaller. Previously, the plan had called for all the mains to be 6". The USDA had wanted the city to cut costs for the project.

Karla Parman and the Sheridan Shamrocks 4-H will plant trees in the park. The city had cut down an old tree that had a branch fall off.

Mayor Wake said that the city was waiting for Andy Macias of Snyder Engineering to oversee ground preparation for the new community building. Macias is donating his time for the project. This includes removal of soft bricks and other debris from the old buildings and the completion of soil testing. The goal for the city is to resume construction on the building shortly.
