Library to be Open Mornings During Summer School

The Worth County Partnership Library will be available for student use and open to the public mornings during summer school again this year. In addition school librarian Janice Borey will provide a weekly story time for each of the elementary classes during summer school. For the third year the Worth County Library received a grant through the Missouri State Library which provides the funds for these extra hours of service. Library Director Mary Seat wrote the grant to expand the Summer Reading Program to include the elementary students. This is the fourth year that the Missouri State Library has allocated some of the LSTA funds they receive for such grants. These grants provide additional funds to allow libraries to reach outside their walls and connect with youth and families that don’t normally participate in the summer reading program.
