On March 29th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Jerrod Naze (25) of Maryville alleging Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (Felony), Failure to Register as Sex Offender (Felony), Following Too Closely, No Insurance, No Plates, and Displaying Plates of Another. Bond was set at $5,000 cash or corporate surety, posted by the defendant.
On March 30th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Sarah Wolfe (37) of Mercer alleging DWI and Failure to Maintain Lane.
On March 31st, a Harrison County jury convicted Cassandra Gathercole (49) of Rosendale of charges of Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony) and Resisting Arrest (Felony). The jury recommended a sentence of four years in the Missouri Department of Corrections. Sentencing will be held at a later date.
On March 31st, Daviess County Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson filed charges against Vincent Fletchall (44) of Pattonsburg alleging Child Abuse (Felony). Bond was set at $25,000, cash only. Defendant may have no contact with anyone under 18.
On April 1st, Joseph Steinhauser (62) of Stanberry failed to appear in Nodaway County Associate Circuit Court for a charge of Careless & Imprudent Driving (Accident). A warrant was issued and bond set at $500, cash only.
On April 1st, Daviess County Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson filed charges against Angela M. Herman (58) of Independence alleging Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, No Valid License, Failure to Register, and Displaying Plates of Another. Bond was set at $25,000, cash only. Daviess County Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson also filed charges against Angela R. Herman (57) of St. Joseph alleging Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bond was set at $10,000, cash only. Co-Defendants may have no contact with each other.
On April 1st, Adam Leming pleaded guilty in Harrison County Associate Circuit Court to charges of Trespassing and Resisting Arrest. He was placed on two years probation by Judge Jay Hemenway.
On April 2nd, the Creston News-Advertiser reported that a storm passing through the area knocked down the back of a storage building, formerly Agrivision, along Highway 34.
On April 3rd, Daviess County Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson filed charges against Damon Boshane (38) of Kansas City alleging DWI (Felony), Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony), Careless & Imprudent Driving (Accident), and Wrong Way on Divided Highway. An affidavit from the Missouri State Highway Patrol alleges the defendant drove the wrong way on I-35 and collided with another vehicle near Winston, causing a serious physical injury. Bond was denied.
On April 3rd, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Saloman Yardley (30) of Riverview (FL) alleging Burglary (Felony) and Forgery (Felony). An affidavit from the Maryville Police Department alleges the defendant entered the Maryville Wal-Mart after having been trespassed from all Wal-Mart stores and stole merchandise. The defendant allegedly subsequently returned to the store 25 minutes later and obtained fraudulent refunds on two items.
On April 3rd, there were two door to door salespeople going around Worth County purporting to represent Banker's Life, a supplemental insurance company. While Banker's Life is a legitimate insurance company, they do not send door to door salespeople out. Worth County has insurance agencies in Rural Missouri Insurance and Ben Abplanalp Insurance located on the Grant City Square and several others next door, including Onedia Wolverton Insurance, Hart Insurance, and Monica Patton Insurance.
On April 3rd, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Steven Boedeker (43) of Ravenwood alleging Property Damage.

On April 4th, Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Gregory Marsh (43) of Greenfield (IA) alleging No Insurance, Careless & Imprudent Driving (Accident), and No Seat Belt.

On April 6th, the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services confirmed that a skunk in Decatur County has tested positive for rabies. Warning signs include sudden daytime activity, loss of fear, unprovoked aggression, disorientation, staggering, and unusual vocalizations. Rabies is 100% fatal in humans; anyone with a potential exposure requires post-exposure prophylaxis immediately.
On April 6th, Steven McKay (36) of Maryville entered an Alford Plea in Nodaway County Circuit Court to a charge of Stealing (Felony). He was sentenced to three years in the Missouri Department of Corrections by Judge Corey Herron.
On April 6th, the King City School announced that 8th grade student Harper Anderson died over the weekend following an ATV wreck.
Charges listed are merely allegations. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
