Area Courthouse, Police, and Crime Reports for March 11th, 2026

On March 3rd, Saylor Eiken (18) of Winston pleaded guilty in Daviess County Associate Circuit Court to charges of DWI and Careless & Imprudent Driving. They were placed on two years probation by Judge Micha Lea Dixon. Defendant must perform 38 hours of community service.

On March 3rd, Danial Liess (31) of Clearmont pleaded guilty in Nodaway County Associate Circuit Court to a charge of Negligent Burning. He was fined $550 plus costs by Judge Robert Rice.

On March 3rd, Lincoln LaFave (22) of St. Joseph pleaded guilty in Nodaway County Associate Circuit Court to a charge of Trespassing. He was fined $178.50 plus costs by Judge Robert Rice.

On March 3rd, Michael Eugene Sprague (57) of Kansas City pleaded guilty in Clay County Circuit Court to a charge of Aggravated Fleeing (Felony). He was sentenced to four years in the Missouri Department of Corrections by Judge David Chamberlain, concurrent with other sentences.

On March 4th, Nodaway County Associate Circuit Judge Robert Rice issued a warrant for the arrest of Frank Cates (40) of Council Bluffs alleging that he failed to abide by an order. The defendant is facing charges for Driving While Revoked (Felony), Speeding, Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On March 4th, Orville Etherton (57) of Chillicothe pleaded guilty in Daviess County Circuit Court to charges of Stealing (Felony) and Trespassing. He was placed on five years probation and sentenced to 30 days in jail by Judge Daren Adkins. Defendant may not have contact with the victim or enter Kidder. Defendant must maintain mental health counseling and medications until released by a psychiatrist.

On March 4th, Brian Robertson (20) of Breckinridge pleaded guilty in Daviess County Circuit Court to a charge of Damage to Jail Property. He was placed on five years probation by Judge Daren Adkins.

On March 4th, Alton Ward (61) of Hamilton pleaded guilty in Daviess County Circuit Court to a charge of Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony). He was placed on five years probation by Judge Daren Adkins. Defendant must attend NA/AA meetings two times per week, at least one must be in-person.

On March 4th, Bryan Carroll (67) of Stanberry admitted to violating his probation in Gentry County Associate Circuit Court. He was given a new term of probation for two years. Defendant must wear SCRAM device for the next six months.

On March 4th, Drew Dack (19) of Ravenwood pleaded guilty in Gentry County Associate Circuit Court to charges of Careless & Imprudent Driving (Accident), Failure to Obey Law Enforcement Officer, Minor in Possession, and No Valid License. He was assessed $763.50 in fines and costs and placed on two years probation by Judge Rebecca McGinley. Defendant must serve 10 days house arrest subject to school and work, complete alcohol education program, and may not consume alcohol or enter bars.

On March 4th, Sagan Gonzalez (37) of Hamilton was sentenced in Daviess County Circuit Court to four years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for a charge of DWI (Felony) by Judge Daren Adkins. Court retains jurisdiction for 120 days, and the DOC will make recommendations regarding probation or incarceration. The defendant had pleaded guilty on January 7th.

On March 4th, Franklin Holcomb (44) of Gallatin pleaded guilty in Daviess County Circuit Court to a charge of Failure to Register as Sex Offender (Felony). He was placed on five years probation by Judge Daren Adkins. Defendant must attend AA/NA meetings two times per week; at least one must be in-person.

On March 4th, Christian Slaughter had his initial appearance on a charge of Receiving Stolen Property (Felony) in Harrison County Associate Circuit Court. At that hearing, bond was announced at $1,000 cash only by Judge Jay Hemenway. However, a docket entry from the court dated March 5th said that the defendant was wrongfully released after posting a surety bond, which was not authorized by the court. Judge Jay Hemenway revoked the surety bond and issued a warrant for $1,500, cash only. The warrant was served on March 6th.

On March 4th, Ray Wallace (46) of Altamont pleaded guilty in Daviess County Circuit Court to charges of No Valid License (Felony) and Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony). He was sentenced to four years in the Missouri Department of Corrections by Judge Daren Adkins.

On March 4th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 28 year old man from Cleveland (TN) was seriously injured after his Freightliner, which was southbound on I-35 near Pattonsburg, crossed into the median, overcorrected, returned to the roadway, and overturned.

On March 4th, Franklin Holcomb (44) of Gallatin was placed on five years probation by Judge Daren Atkins following his guilty plea to a charge of Failure to Register as Sex Offender (Felony) on January 7th. Defendant must attend AA/NA meetings at least two times per week.

On March 5th, Travis Hood (37) of Kansas City pleaded guilty in Gentry County Associate Circuit Court to a charge of Furnishing Pornographic Material to a Minor and Sexual Misconduct. He was placed on five years probation by Judge Corey Herron. The case had been transferred to Gentry County from Putnam County on a Change of Venue.

On March 5th, Autumn Lowe (37) of Ridgeway entered an Alford Plea in Gentry County Circuit Court to charges of Unlawful Possession of Firearm (Felony), Speeding, Failure to Drive on Right Half of Roadway, and Resisting Arrest. She was placed on five years probation by Judge Corey Herron and fined $121 plus costs. Defendant must successfully complete substance abuse evaluation and follow recommendations. Defendant must serve 30 days shock time with weekends permitted and defendant given credit for time served.

On March 5th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 17 year old Bethany teen ran off 205th Street two miles south of Bethany, skidded, crossed the center, went off the east side, struck a ditch, and overturned.

On March 5th, the Bethany Police Department reported that residents had been getting mail solicitations from “Citizens Behind the Badge” entitled, “My Declaration of Support for Bethany Area Police Officers.” The Bethany Police Department has no affiliation, partnership, or endorsement agreement with that group, which is based in Virginia. Donations do not go to the Bethany Police Department or its officers, and the Bethany Police Department is not conducting any mail-based fundraising campaign at this time.

On March 5th, Daviess County Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson filed charges against Michael Lewis (35) of Hamilton alleging Tampering with Physical Evidence.

On March 6th, Worth County Circuit Court Judge Corey Herron recalled the case of Donald Gillespie (64) of Grant City and ordered him released from the Missouri Department of Corrections to five years probation starting April 8th.

On March 6th, Daviess County Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson filed charges against Julie Coffman (57) of Gallatin alleging DWI (Felony) and Leaving the Scene (Felony). Bond was set at $10,000, cash only. Later, defendant was given leave to post 10% cash. Defendant must wear a SCRAM device.

On March 6th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Matthew Felton (48) of Maryville alleging DWI (Prior).

On March 6th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Dau Mayom (22) of Maryville alleging Stealing. An affidavit from the Maryville Police Department alleges the defendant stole $533.88 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart between December 13th and February 8th.

On March 6th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Adam Bartout (19) of Maryville alleging Stealing. An affidavit from the Maryville Police Department alleges the defendant stole $524.71 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart between December 13th and January 16th.

On March 6th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Nathan Elliott (21) of Maryville alleging Stealing. An affidavit from the Maryville Police Department alleges the defendant stole $38.39 worth of merchandise from the Maryville Wal-Mart between December 13th and January 23rd.

On March 6th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Amin Abdi Amin (20) of Maryville alleging Stealing. An affidavit from the Maryville Police Department alleges the defendant stole $543.27 from the Maryville Wal-Mart between December 13th and February 3rd.

On March 6th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Aaron Clarke (20) of Maryville alleging Stealing. An affidavit from the Maryville Police Department alleges the defendant stole $537.05 from the Maryville Wal-Mart between December 13th and February 8th.

On March 7th, Harrison County Prosecutor Michael Wulff filed charges against Kimberly Heffentrager (49) of Des Moines alleging Resisting Arrest, DWI, and Careless & Imprudent Driving. Bond was set at $2,500, cash only.

On March 7th, Daviess County Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson filed charges against Drew Johnson (39) of Princeton alleging Unlawful Use of a Weapon (Felony).

On March 9th, the Atchison County Sheriff’s Office reported that James Ball (65) of Fairfax pleaded guilty to Child Molestation (Felony) and Sexual Abuse (Felony). He was sentenced to 15 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.

On March 10th, Daviess County Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson filed charges against Jarrett Haring (24) of Litchfield (MN) alleging Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bond was denied.

On March 10th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Todd Panning (53) of Craig alleging two counts Failure to Register as Sex Offender (Felony) and Sex Offender Residing Within 1,000 Feet of School (Felony). Bond was set at $10,000, cash or corporate surety.

Charges listed are merely allegations. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
