Two People Seriously Injured in Skidmore Wreck

Two people were seriously injured in a one car accident east of Skidmore on Route V. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 2008 Chevy Impala driven by Travis Carroll, 27, of Maryville was westbound on Route V when he drove off the north side of the roadway and struck a metal culvert at around Tuesday around 6:10 p.m. The Impala went airborne approximately 60 feet. When it struck the ground, it rolled over at least twice, coming to rest on its top facing west. Carroll was seriously injured and taken by Lifenet Air Ambulance to Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. A passenger, Sharla Goff, 39, of Burlington Junction, was taken by Ambulance to St. Francis in Maryville and later transferred by Lifenet Air Ambulance to Heartland Regional Medical Center. Neither was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. The Impala was totalled.
